I live on Camborne Cres and received the NO NO NO flyer last week. Contrary to my neighbours, I actually support this development. It’s all about densification these days, and this seems like an entirely appropriate way to do that. Better to build 200 units here than on valuable farmland in south Ottawa, requiring a 20km commute. Sure, they’ll be more cars on Kilborn, but 200 cards over 120 minute rush hour period equals 3 more cars every 2 minutes–not a big deal (that’s my cocktail napkin calculation–the engineering study had it at less than that).
Loss of greenspace? How about the huge park directly to the west – ball diamonds, places to walk dogs, a forest?
So, I support this development.
